RUOK Day at Greenslopes
Building Stronger Communities with R U OK?
At Greenslopes House, we recently gathered for more than just a BBQ; we came together to support each other, aligning perfectly with the R U OK? campaign. This initiative in Australia encourages simple but important conversations about mental well-being, asking, "Are you OK?"—a question that can make all the difference.
R U OK? is a movement reminding us to check in on our friends, family, and colleagues, ensuring they feel supported before their struggles escalate. These conversations build trust, strengthen connections, and can genuinely change lives.
This year, we proudly joined the R U OK? campaign by hosting a community BBQ on 12 September. It was a fantastic day filled with delicious food, fun activities, and, most importantly, meaningful conversations. The event brought our community closer, reminding us how important it is to take time to connect and show care.
The BBQ embodied the spirit of R U OK?—that spending time with others can create the space for life-changing conversations. Let’s keep asking, “Are you OK?” and stay connected every day.
